The Society

About Us

A member-led professional institution dedicated to education, scientific exchange, research, professional collaboration and the responsible advancement of aesthetic surgery in Pakistan.

From Association to Society

Our history

The journey of organised aesthetic surgery in Pakistan has been shaped by the dedication and contributions of many colleagues. Among the most significant milestones was the establishment, in 2022, of the Association for Aesthetic Surgery Pakistan (AASP). Registered as a company with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, it was an important first step towards bringing together professionals with a shared interest in aesthetic surgery.

Through four highly successful scientific meetings, AASP welcomed distinguished international faculty who lectured, taught and performed live surgery in Pakistan, raising professional standards and strengthening Pakistan's standing in the international aesthetic surgery community. This legacy deserves recognition and appreciation.

As the specialty evolved, the need emerged for a more structured, inclusive and representative professional institution, one that places its members at the heart of its identity and governance. The Pakistan Aesthetic Surgery Society has been established for exactly this purpose: a separately registered society with its own constitution and a defined framework for elected leadership and collective decision-making.

A message from the outgoing President

It has been a privilege to serve as President of the Association for Aesthetic Surgery Pakistan and to be part of the journey that has brought our specialty to this important moment.

Today, we stand at the beginning of a new chapter with the establishment of the Pakistan Aesthetic Surgery Society. This is an opportunity to build upon the foundations laid before us and create a stronger, more inclusive and sustainable professional institution.

A society is ultimately defined not by its name or leadership, but by the commitment and participation of its members. I hope PASS will become a home for meaningful academic exchange, professional collaboration, ethical practice and the continued advancement of our specialty.

As I pass on the responsibility of leadership, I do so with confidence in the colleagues who will take this initiative forward. I encourage every member to participate actively, contribute generously and make this Society their own.

Dr Shiraz Raza
Outgoing President, Association for Aesthetic Surgery Pakistan

The story behind our emblem

Our emblem

The PASS emblem

The emblem of the Association for Aesthetic Surgery Pakistan was inspired by the flower-like pattern formed by the architecture of Minar-e-Pakistan when seen from above. In establishing PASS, we have preserved this visual heritage while developing it into a fuller representation of our national identity.

Minar-e-Pakistan — the centre
Our national heritage, our roots, and the collective resolve, determination and conviction on which our future is built.
The circle — unity
Wholeness, continuity and the unity of a professional community working towards a common purpose.
The crescent — a new beginning
Our national identity, a growing vision and the continued progress of a new society.
The five-pointed star — light and knowledge
Inspired by our national flag: knowledge, enlightenment and the pursuit of excellence.
The colours — our people, our identity
A warm, earthy palette inspired by the diversity of natural skin tones across Pakistan.

Rooted in our heritage. United in our purpose. Inspired by our future.
